Hello, welcome to ju-venna jewellery.

I'm Julie and I live in Lincolnshire with my husband and our Cocker Spaniel Izzi.

After completing my degree in Creative Arts, I realised what it was I wanted to do... make jewellery! The majority of my degree modules were In Textile Design, as I've always been inspired by colour, texture, pattern and shape. Being able to create textures and patterns using a variety of media has always appealed to me and still does. But I actually realised that all of these elements can be incorporated into jewellery making.

All of my jewellery is designed and hand crafted using a variety of materials. I love to combine different metals of silver, copper and brass in my jewellery designs as they all complement each other really well ~ sometimes I like to hammer the metal for added texture.

Some of my jewellery pieces have been inspired by architecture, as this is another area I'm passionate about. This can be from the arrangement and colour of stones and beads, to the shape and pattern of the metal. I shall certainly carry on using this as a source of inspiration. Nature is another area of inspiration, as you will see flowers and butterflies appear in some of my jewellery. The meaning of 'Venna' is 'butterfly', Venna being my middle name and my mother's name, so I think it's quite apt that butterflies do appear somewhere!

I think everybody values unique, original designs because they want something different! It makes you feel good knowing you are wearing a hand crafted individual piece of jewellery ~ I hope you enjoy browsing my jewellery collections!
